01 - Brand Identity

The brand name

Viking Adventures is the series brand. Each episode carries its own title.

Understanding the hierarchy between series and episode is essential to using the brand correctly.

Series brand

Viking Adventures

The overarching series name. Appears beneath the episode title in the full lockup. Use when referring to the brand as a whole - on venue websites, partner materials and general communications.

Episode title

Myth of Yggdrasil

The specific experience title. Leads all episode-specific communications: venue website, social posts, flyers, press. Always appears with the series brand in the full lockup - never fully standalone in brand contexts.

✓ Use this

Myth of Yggdrasil - Viking Adventures

Full lockup. Preferred for all primary touchpoints.

✓ Acceptable

Viking Adventures: Myth of Yggdrasil

Inline format. Acceptable in body text and listings.

✕ Avoid

Yggdrasil VR / The Yggdrasil Experience

Informal shorthand. Do not use in public-facing materials.

✕ Avoid

Viking VR / Norse VR Adventure

Generic descriptions that do not refer to the brand.

02 - Colour Palette

Brand colours

The palette is rooted in the experience itself - deep Norse night skies, warm candlelight, and the cold shimmer of auroras.

Each episode carries an accent colour that distinguishes it from others in the series.

04 - Logo

Logo usage

Each episode has its own logo lockup consisting of the episode title set in Njord Regular, the smaller supporting text set in Junge, and a unique episode icon. Always use the approved logo files - never recreate the logo from type alone, and never substitute the episode icon with another graphic.

Logo construction

Episode title

Set in Njord Regular. The dominant element of the lockup. Each episode title is unique and must not be retyped or resized independently of the approved file.

Logo construction

Episode icon

Each episode has a unique Norse-inspired icon that forms part of the logo lockup. The icon is specific to that episode and must not be swapped, redrawn or used separately from the approved logo file.

Horizantal usage
Vertical usage
Clear Space

Minimum clear space = cap height of series name

↑ Same on all four sides ↑

✕ Do not desaturate

The logo must always use approved colour values.

✕ Do not distort

Never stretch, skew or alter the proportions of the logo.

✕ Do not use on busy backgrounds

The logo requires a clean, solid background to be legible.

05 - Tone of Voice

How we sound

The Viking Adventures voice is cinematic and grounded - it takes the mythology seriously without being stiff,
and speaks to the group rather than the individual. Use these principles when writing captions, descriptions,
press copy and venue communications.

Epic, not hyperbolic

Not: Amazing! Incredible! Best experience ever!

The mythology carries the weight. Let the setting and story do the heavy lifting. Describe what guests will see and feel - not how they should react to it.

✓ Write like this

Sail beneath the northern lights. Come face to face with the World Serpent. Save Yggdrasil before darkness wins.

Collective, not solo

Not: Your personal journey / your adventure

This is a shared experience. The language should reflect that - it is always about the group, the crew, the team. Use "your group", "together" and "join forces" rather than "you" alone.

✓ Write like this

Gather your crew. Only courage and teamwork can stop the serpent Nidhogg from destroying the balance between worlds.

Grounded, not gimmicky

Not: Mind-blowing VR fun for the whole family!

Avoid the language of theme parks and funfairs. Viking Adventures is a premium, story-led experience. The tone should feel closer to a film trailer than an amusement park brochure.

✓ Write like this

A 30-minute free-roam VR adventure inspired by Norse mythology. Created in collaboration with Norwegian historians and Viking experts.

Inviting, not exclusive

Not: For hardcore VR enthusiasts / serious gamers

The experience is designed for everyone from age 10 upward, including people who have never tried VR. The tone should feel welcoming to all - no prior experience required or implied.

✓ Write like this

No experience necessary. If you can walk and look around, you can step into the myth.
